If you enjoy a beer from time to time, keep your cash out of the casino if you plan to do your drinking in a casino. I am serious. Leave your purse, your money belt, and leave all money, charge cards and checks back at the hotel. Pack only the cash you intend to use on alcohol, tips and whatever pocket change you intend to squander and leave the rest behind.
Cynical? Absolutely not. Just realistic. You could experience a win following a boozy night out with your acquaintances and be blessed sufficiently to hook a marathon roll at a hot craps game. Don’t forget that account seeing that it’s as short-lived as it gets if you continually drink and gamble. The two just don’t mix.
Keeping your moola at home is a bit drastic, but defensive measures for dramatic actions is required. If you gamble to win, then don’t drink and play. If you like to throw aside your $$$$ nary a worry, then consume all the free beer you can handle, but don’t pack charge cards and checkbooks to toss into the mix of following squanderings after your drunken head squanders everything!
